It's hard to believe that one man--Jerry Argovitz--has led such an interesting life and has accomplished so much, but every page tells another story about Jerry and, more importantly, the many lives he has touched. Frère, the service manager took the car out onto the circuit and in 3 laps put in the fastest qualifying time of the day. In 1952 Frère made is Formula One debut at the Belgium circuit and made five starts that season. Overall a real quality production about a real exciting chapter in human history.. His later books were often about Porsches, including "The Porsche 911 Story" the seminal work on those iconoclastic automobiles. Frère maintained his connections with the 24-Hour Race at Le Mans. He had an influence on three generations of automotive writers and, along with other luminaries like Ken Purdy, Denis Jenkinson and David E. It is also the story of the team that introduced three-time world champion Ayrton Senna to F1. Quite the opposite. I am no where near a designer and truly don't understand the difficulty that goes into the creation and vision of this type of work.
