Fans of World war I dramas will appreciate this deep look at the times. Kudos and thanks to the authors.. In this way, the book explores the drives, neuroses, and contradictions of these individuals, which sometimes wax psychotic and predatory; for me, it brought to mind the Biblical "double-minded man," who is "unstable in all his ways." Yet, interestingly, the men regularly proclaim profound truths and demonstrate rare wisdom (or so I believe, at least); it suggests that, yes, the double-minded man tends towards instability, but is not necessarily wrong in his assertions, nor invalid in his tendencies. Easy to follow projects. It was a world where your characters could live side by side with Fafhrd, Gray Mouser, Sheelba and others and not feel overshadowed in the story. What insightful remarks!In closing, I would say that Guthrie is a pleasure to read: I thoroughly enjoyed his book. They cover the whole of her career, but were mostly first published in anthologies that never made it on to my bookshelves so the stories were all new to me. I wish I had had a model like this when I started my first company! This book is a must read for anyone who is looking at getting into t
