I saw some negative comments before I bought this book. The principles, rules and strategies of the Network Economy are derived from the described convergence. I heard this gentleman on NPR and he made a lot of sense as to why our politics is so dysfunctional. It was an excellent bedtime read for my children who are 6 and 9 years old, we will buy it (it is on loan from the library).. Granted, he may be exceptional in his people skills and determination but there must be more people out there who could do similar feats of bringing people together to solve our problems.The real surprise was HOW readable it was. Moreoever, as Peter Skarzynski and Rowan Gibson would be the first to point out, it would be a fool's errand to try to apply everything that they recommend without making appropriate modifications.
